Welcome to Class 5

Mrs Finney is the class teacher and our teaching assistants are Miss Woolley and Mrs Briddock 

In Class 5 you will need to bring your book bag every day please.

We have brand new class journals where you can find lots of useful information on ways that you can support your child at home.  In these journals there is space for you to fill in when you have read at home and teaching staff will also write comments. The journals and any reading books need to be in book bags every day so we can track who has read each week. Please remember to try and fill in the reading section of your child’s journal at least three times over the week so we can update our class ‘reading at home’ sheet. At the end of the half term there are ‘rewards’  for those who have read each week.

We have maths homework which will be sent home fortnightly on our new ‘Doodle Learning’ platform and the login details are stuck in reading journals.

Spellings will need to be practised each week and will be sent home in the new class journal each Friday.  You can use the blue homework books to write them in.

We do PE on Monday afternoon and Wednesday morning.  Please make sure that your child’s PE kit is labelled and in school each week. Please send tape in for any earrings for your child to put on their own ears. A plain white T-shirt, black shorts, pumps/trainers and a tracksuit are the required uniform for school.
