At Thorpe Hesley Primary School, Spring Term is Multicultural Term where every year group in school learn about a different country. The children learn about their country’s location, human and physical features and their customs and make links and comparisons to our own lives. The countries that we study have been carefully selected with our children and our community in mind to give them a breadth of knowledge and experiences of many cultures throughout the world, particularly those which have had a big influence on our country and our local and wider community.
To celebrate our multicultural topic and to share our learning with the other children in school and with you at home, each year group has made a short film about their country. The children loved making these and have really enjoyed watching each other’s within assemblies in school and learning about each other’s countries of study. We hope you enjoy them too.
