Welcome to Class 13!
We are kind, creative, happy year 4 children, who love to learn!
We are a hard-working class of 34 children and we support each other in our learning.
Our teacher is Mrs Nazir and Mrs Shaw teaches on a Friday.
To support our class we have the wonderful Mrs Bailey.
We love hearing from the parents and carers of our children in Class 13 and we regularly update our Twitter to keep you informed of the creative and exciting things we have been learning about.
Mrs Nazir is always available in a morning or after school if you ever need to speak to her; she is always happy to help.
We also have a Year 4 email if you wanted to email about any queries. We also love to receive photos to show us what the children have been up to outside of school.
P.E.
Please try to have your PE kit in school every day. We expect children to bring their PE kits in a drawstring bag and remember to take them home regularly to be washed. Please make sure children have an outdoor PE kit, including joggers, hoodie and trainers as we will have at least one PE session outdoors each week. Currently, our PE days are Tuesdays (swimming) and Wednesdays.
Homework
Homework will be set on a Friday to be handed in on the following Friday. Homework will be maths based and will alternate between a paper-based activity and TTRS in preparation for the MTC later this year. It is important that your child completes homework as homework is a way to reinforce learning that has been done in class. In addition to this, children will come home with weekly spellings that will be sent home on a Friday to be tested the following Friday. Practising these spellings are part of the weekly homework expectations.
Reading
Daily diaries need to be in school everyday as they include lots of information to support your child with their learning and it also gives us chance to update their reading in school.
Diaries will be checked every Friday and children should be reading at least three times each week.
Useful Resources and Games
We are always aiming to strengthen the skills we learn at school and there is no where better to do it than at home. Dive into some of the links below and let the children show you just how amazing they are!
