Welcome to Class 11!
Our class teacher is Miss Turner and we are taught by Mrs Blakemore on Thursdays. Other adults working with us in class are Mrs Briddock and Mrs Hinchliffe.
As children move into year 3, we try to foster and encourage independence but we understand this can take time with the move to a new building.
If you need to speak to me, I am always happy to chat before and after school.
P.E.
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday.
Some days we will be inside and some we will be out so it is important that the children have all of their PE kit in school all week.
Children should also have a pair of wellies in school for when we do Outdoor Learning!
Homework
Homework is set weekly on a Friday and is due in the following Friday. This is mainly maths homework as children are expected to read and practise spellings weekly.
Spellings are sent home weekly and are stuck in reading diaries.
Reading
In Class 11, we are all working hard to acheive our Reading Reward. To achieve this, we need to read at home as much as possible to get lots of reading tokens. To help your child earn their reading tokens, please write in their reading record when you read with them at home. Please remember to read at home at least 3 times a week. Diaries will be checked every Friday but they need to be in school every day.
Spelling
Every Friday spellings are tested and a new set will be sent home. It is very important that spellings are practised and transferred into writing. Make sure you learn them!

Useful Resources and Games
We are always aiming to strengthen the skills we learn at school and there is no where better to do it than at home. Dive into some of the links below and let the children show you just how amazing they are!
