Please remember to bring your PE kit into school on a Monday and keep it in school throughout the week. Although we have allocated PE days, these may occasionally change.

Children should bring their PE kit in a drawstring bag and take it home regularly to be washed. Please ensure that your child has both an indoor and outdoor PE kit, as well as a change of shoes.

Homework is given out every Friday and should be returned the following Friday. Homework will alternate each week between Maths and English. It is really important that children complete their homework and hand it in on time.

Children are also given weekly spellings every Friday, which they will be tested on the following Friday. We encourage children to practise their spellings regularly throughout the week, rather than trying to learn them all in one night.

Our newly introduced spelling scheme, Spelling Frame, is an excellent way for children to practise their spellings at home.

Reading planners will be checked every Friday, but they should be brought into school every day so that we can write in them when needed.

Children are encouraged to read at least three times a week and record each reading session in their reading planner. Regular reading is a fantastic way to develop confidence, vocabulary and comprehension. Classes where 100% of children achieve the three-times-a-week reading target for three consecutive weeks will receive a reward which is discussed with and decided by the class.
