Nuts about Nature? We certainly are! In true Thorpe Hesley style, we made a big splash about our natural world for our Picture This and Science weeks. Children throughout school enjoyed getting hands on with art and creativity linked to three nature-based artists, James Brunt, Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Marianne North, whilst also doing lots of science work linked to the environment too – including a special science assembly from the Science team at Winterhill School. They also completed some collaborative land art on the junior field which parents were invited to view and take part! We were also lucky enough to watch some chicks hatching in school and the children loved getting to know our little chicks.
